El's Role


My role was that of technical lead, writer, and composer. I took point on leading how we would implement our creative ideas, coming up with modular code systems for things like dialogue and NPC movement/UI that would add an interactive element to our final product. I wrote and implemented my own code and demonstrated to designers how to use it when building levels and implementing NPC dialogue lines. I also wrote the dialogue for 2/3 of the interactive experience’s scenes (all three days), and created all the characters, based on the extensive narrative design document. My final task was to compose, produce, and edit all the music, and I ended up with a total of 3 very polished tracks. I definitely pushed myself to achieve a lot in all of the fields I worked on, writing very effective and easy to understand systems of code, a ton of dialogue, and very polished music. I feel good about how the parts of the project that were my jurisdiction ended up working out.
